Middle Release/Integration Engineer for Automotive Project (IRC132984)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Middle Release/Integration Engineer for Automotive Project to join its Kyiv office.

Our Client is the top Tier-1 company in the automotive world. Project goals are software implementation for Client infotainment hardware platform intended to be used in a mass-production car/vehicle market.

SW platform: Android 8.1 / Android 10

HW platform: Snapdragon 820a (MSM8996)

The scope of the project includes SW design preparing, implementation, integration and maintenance phases following modern industry standards for development processes in the automotive segment (Automotive SPICE) and Agile (SCRUM)

Requirements:

• REQUIRED

  • BA, MS degree in software engineering, computer science, or other related fields

  • 1+ years of experience in software development or software integration

  • On-hand experience building AOSP 

  • Development experience using C++/Java and scripting languages (bash/python)

  • Experience with integration of prebuilt binaries(jar/- .so/apk) into build system using Android.bp/Android.mk

  • Experience with Linux Operating systems

  • Proficiency with source control and continuous integration – Gerrit/Git, Jenkins

  • Troubleshooting skills.

  • Intermediate level of both written and verbal English

• PREFERRED

  • Good knowledge of SW Configuration Management aspects (Release management)

  • Knowledge of AOSP Over the Air updates (OTA – A/B seamless update)

  • Experience in Embedded Systems development

  • Strong communication and reporting skills

  • High level of self-organization

Responsibilities:

• Set up and configure SW build systems for individual projects, manage and control the SW build process

• Take part in the defining and improvement of the Integration process

• Maintain repositories (by adding/deleting projects/branches, maintaining manifests, etc.)

• Maintain a build system (extending the build system with custom steps) 

• Perform review of changes planned for integration and merge conflicts resolution

• Ensure traceability for the submitted changes before integration

• Automate integration processes

• Maintain patch integration report

• Control that all requirements are met for the integration 

• Maintain SW builds standards, procedures, and guidelines

• Creating appropriate documentation, release notes
