Waiter (waitress)

The Grand Royal Wolinak (LGRW) in collaboration with the Abenaki community of Wolinak wishes to develop activities as well as economic benefits for the community and the region.

The Grand Royal Wolinak wants to offer its customers a unique gaming and entertainment experience in the region. The LGRW has developed a concept of games adapted to the needs of each of its visitors. We have established a diversified experience at the cutting edge of technology and the highest standards in the entertainment industry.

Location: ?Montreal, Canada.

Main responsibilities of the position

• Take food and drink orders from customers.
• Ensure all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner.
• Suggest appetisers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials.
• Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to immediately address all customer concerns and create an enjoyable dining experience.
• Confirm orders with chefs and bartenders whenever clarification is requested.
• Assist with setting up tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger groups.

 Experience and qualities required

• Proven work experience as a waiter or waitress.
• Hands-on experience with cash registers and cash register software (e.g. Revel POS or Toast POS).
• Basic math skills.
• Attention and patience with customers.
• Excellent presentation.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Communication and active listening skills.
• Team spirit.
• Flexibility to provide different shifts.
