Required skills

• Understanding and basic experience administering server systems (Linux)

• Understanding of TCP/IP networks, DNS and web application architecture.

• Experience configuring web services (apache, nginx)

• Database administration experience  (MySQL, MariaDB)

• Experience with version control systems Git

• Experience configuring and administering cloud services (Platform.sh, Amazon AWS)

• Experience in the usage of CI/CD-systems (Github actions)

• The ability to solve technical problems on the server/network/ equipment/DB/service/etc.

• Basic knowledge/experience with Docker and containerization 

• Basic testing knowledge

• Basic migration knowledge

• Familiar with code editors (VScode)

• Familiar with a command-line interface

• English (Upper Intermediate)

Responsibilities

• Secure site reliability engineering, which includes automation, system design, and improvements to system resilience.

• Control and automation different systems

• Maintaining test and development environments

• Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and recover client’s infrastructure

• Software deployment  and measurement

• Scripting e.g. DB migration

• Configuring the system parameters (network, storage, etc.) 

• Proactively work with Engineering and QA to ensure correct product configuration

• Perform root cause analysis of outages

• Providing technical support 

• Operations tasks like deployments, troubleshooting, configuring accesses, etc.

The tech stack is PHP, MySQL, Git, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Bash, Docker, Platform.sh, GitHub, Linux, REST API, AJAX, Design Patterns, and we widely use the TYPO3 framework, which is open source and popular in the Nordic and German region. 

We're looking for a Support Engineer/SysOps junior who will be part of a team of engineers (PHP developers, FE developers, QA, content managers, technical analyst, project managers and support managers).

During the first few months of employment, we provide a dedicated mentor and you'll have a team lead who is responsible for your growth, education, and facilitation.
