AIM OF THE POSITION
Supply Chain Officer (in the OSCAR system environment) ensures that requests are handled efficiently and effectively to meet needs in the field. S/he also makes information about potential or firm orders available to other logistics staff and those requesting services.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that internal customers have their needs and requests addressed within a reasonable timeframe, in accordance to ICRC procedures including accurate follow-up and treatment of Supply Requests;
- Processes requisition orders according to the ICRC’s logistics and financial procedures;
- Provides requester with updated information regarding the status of their orders;
- Follows up regularly on open purchase orders with purchasers, in view of updating the promised delivery dates on SR order lines;
- Records and files documents pertaining to the ordering process; registers and transmits claims and remarks from requesters;
- Updates logistics dashboards and provides statistics.
The tasks and responsibilities defined above are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on organizational needs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education and Professional qualifications
- Technical degree in logistics, administration or equivalent;
- 3 years work experience in a similar field of activity;
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English and the local working language;
- Very good computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning software an asset;
- Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment.
