The ICRC Delegation in Odessa seeks to fill the following position:
Car Dispatcher
Based in Odessa
AIM OF THE POSITION
Car Dispatcher is responsible for dispatch of vehicles in a safe, objective-driven and economical manner and organizes drivers’ assignments. She/ he will also going to satisfy the requester demands respecting the safety/ time / service relation and ensuring the compliance of ICRC standard procedures
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently works to ensure that the fleet is used in a rational manner.
- Organizes and plans drivers' duties and assignments; dispatches the assigned vehicles.
- Monitors and records vehicle use and fuel consumption.
- Keeps tracks of all vehicle movements using specific organizational tools.
- Where necessary, checks that field-trip forms are filed and correspond to the assigned mission and that log books are filled out.
- Coaches and trains drivers to prevent corruption and smuggling.
- Analyses and mitigates risks (vehicle looting and safety hazards) in dangerous locations.
- Takes all necessary steps to implement the delegation's security rules.
- The tasks and responsibilities defined above are not exhaustive and can evolve depending on organizational needs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum required knowledge & experience
- Secondary school level or a technical school
- 2 years work experience in similar field of activity
- Good knowledge of spoken English and basic knowledge of written English
- Basic computer knowledge
- Capacity to train and supervise
- Driving license for at least 5 years
- Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment
- Negotiation skills
- Capacity to adhere to ICRC procedures
- Masters 4/4 and VHF use
- Basic mechanical skills
