Technical artist (UE4)

Game development studio 4A Games Ukraine is looking for Technical Artist to join our team to take part in development of unannounced multiplatform AAA shooter (PC/Consoles).

Responsibilities

Technical Artist’s key responsibility will be helping the team to balance target art quality and technical requirements of the game project on Unreal Engine 4:

• Creation of art content benchmarks to be used in production.
• Identifying and implementing art-pipeline optimizations and automation.
• Connecting artists and programmers to find optimal solutions within constraints of modern platforms.
• Creation of technically complex art content. 
• Creation of art tools that make work of artist more comfortable and efficient.  
• Creation and maintenance of art technical documentation.
• Implementation of modern art creation techniques and processes.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in technical art.
• 2+ years of experience as artist in game industry.
• Expert in modelling and art tools (Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Photoshop, etc.).
• Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5.
• Experience in full art content creation pipeline.
• Good math knowledge.
• Understanding of full game development cycle and optimization specifics.

Preferences

• Experience with creation of scripts for Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Unreal Engine 4/5.
• Knowledge of VFX creation.
• Knowledge of high-level coding language (Python, C++, HLSL/GLSL, etc.).
• Ability to work with documentation in English.
• Experience with consoles. 
• Released project.
• Passion for games.
