Java Engineer with AWS Experience, Smart Home System

DataArt is currently helping to create a system that unites the achievements of the IoT industry and the technology of working with Big Data. The platform allows the user to remotely control home appliances and monitor the indications of measuring tools (thermometers, barometers, hygrometers etc.) in real time, combining them into a single "smart home" system.

The user controls and monitors the system using a mobile interface. The system is being developed with scalability in mind (for expanding the list of devices which can be controlled).

Java/Kotlin, Python, Ruby, and AWS are used in the development.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of web development experience
• Experience developing Java Enterprise applications
• Excellent knowledge of Java
• Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Cloudformation, API Gateway, Lambda, IoT etc.)
• Experience in creating a REST API
• Knowledge of OOP, OOD, and design patterns
• TDD, unit/integration/acceptance tests
• Good spoken English

Additional Competencies

• Experience with Ruby, Python
• Skills in using automated project building tools (Maven, Gradle)
• Experience with continuous integration systems (Jenkins/TeamCity)
• Experience with Agile (SCRUM)
