Background:
People in Need (PIN) is a Czech international non-governmental organization, that is present in more than 20 countries has been active in Ukraine since 2014, and the humanitarian programs have been rapidly expanding since then. Currently, PIN is one of the major humanitarian actors in Eastern Ukraine while providing neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian aid to conflict-affected people.

Main responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor procurement, logistic staff and relevant mission personnel acting as a point of referral and supporting them with procurement related analysis and queries; advise on methodology, processes and documentation.
- Efficient management of the vehicle fleet and ensure optimized transport solutions are available
- Coordinate and hold responsibility for quality and timeliness of the mission-wide procurement strategy and planning, supplier registration and management, sourcing, solicitation, management of submissions, evaluation of submissions, exceptions, price and contract negotiations, procurement process review and decisions, award process and documentation, and related risk management.
- Elaborate mechanisms to eliminate deficiencies in procurement, enhance accountability and exercise effective internal controls.
- Manage mission administrative functions including office administration, relevant registration and visa support to expatriates, guesthouse and base management.
- Ensure required IT standards are maintained, relevant IT systems are in place and updated regally
- Ensure accurate and up- to -date records on inventories are maintained for inventories & assets
- Support HoSO in developing and updating mission SOPs, policies and guidance documents
Required background and competences
- University degree (MA, MSc in Logistic, Procurement, Economic or Management
- At least 5 years' experience in the sector
- English proficiency
- Solid management skills and experience in people management more than 5 years (team more than 10 people)
- Knowledge of humanitarian context, especially during emergency
- Ability to think critically and logically
- High expertise in Crisis management and Risk management
- High independence, technical expertise and proactivity, Management of multiple staff members
- High analytical skills for the reporting to the mission management
- Ability to establish networking

- Starting salary as per PIN salary scale: 2 672 USD GROSS on probation period.
