CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The IT Officer is responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure in Ukraine offices, finding the most effective solutions to enable staff to work efficiently.
The post holder will provide technical support to the country offices and staff, and resolve IT related issues in a timely and creative manner (including internet connections, server issues and video conference in Ukraine office), and ensure staff and offices have all the needed equipment.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: IT Manager
Budget Responsibilities: None
Key Area 1: Maintenance
- Daily IT Support Ukraine office face to face / remotely.
- Responsible for upgrading and maintaining Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Digital Cameras…) and meets Global IT requirement for all offices.
- Responsible for upgrading and maintaining network, switches, cables central telephone, etc.
- Arrange for general maintenance checks for the office equipment (Laptops and Desktops, Mobiles, telephones, printers).
- Provide support for security telecoms systems and conduct regular testing.
- Follow up with service providers on regular maintaining of office equipment such as photocopiers.
- Responsible for maintaining security cameras, VPN, Alarm System and UPS and batteries in Ukraine Offices and warehouses.
- Assists in administering, maintaining and ensuring the smooth operations and functionality of network based systems.
- Identify and prepare hardware for disposal when appropriate and ensure hardware is stripped and secured before disposal.
- Maintain wired and wireless networks, desktop and server computers, computer peripheral equipment e.g. printers, scanners, projectors.
- Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.
Key Area 2: Software
- Responsible for setting new accounts for the staff on the new projects (Azure AD, EMS, etc.
- Assist staff in uploading large files on approved storage , OneDrive, etc.
- Assist in user management. (Adding and deleting users from AD, etc.)
- Responsible for setting new accounts for the staff on the email system and password reset in full cooperation and coordination with Senior IT staff.
- Responsible for following up on the computer technical issues and the frequent update for the antivirus program to avoid computer crashes.
Key Area 3: Troubleshoot:
- Responsible in trouble shooting of any hardware, networking and software related problems, and maintain the equipment regularly.
- Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail,Teams, phone etc.
- Maintain optimum security and integrity of all operating systems and servers at all times
- Provides technical consultancy for all IT procurement related item.
- Develops and maintains any necessary documentation related to the IT systems administration or managements.

QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree in IT.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Demonstrated experience in the same field.
- Excellent IT skills.
- MCSE/MCITP Certificate is plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English.
