Full-Stack developer (ASP.NET Core + React) in FinTech project

We are looking for a full-stack developer to work for a British fintech company. The business was founded in 2000 as a financial and investing services company. Today it is actively working on business processes optimization and exists on the edge of financial services and technology solutions.

The company continues to evolve its cloud products for ongoing improvement of services and interfaces used by the employees and the clients. Development of the latest generation of software was started 2 years ago, so no legacy involved. 

The development processes entail frequent experience sharing with the British colleagues, as the teams are mixed to create a great international atmosphere. Besides, the management has a huge trust in our team and is happy to consider our recommendations and involve our senior engineers in the decision-making process. 

We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive specialist who is willing to become a valuable member of our exceptional team. 

MAIN GOALS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing, developing and maintaining solutions on the .NetCore and React;

• Active participation in requirements discussion with the business and IT team;

• Adding new functionality and covering it with unit tests;

• Troubleshooting and supporting production as needed, participating in issues research and defects fixing;

• Conducting code review and verify the solutions of other team members, approving changes to the architecture, and making recommendations for alternative solutions and approaches;

• Following project development processes and improving them with other team members.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• At least 3 years hands-on experience in commercial software development;

• Expert knowledge of C# and ASP.NET Core;

• Experience in front-end web development using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, Ajax and knowledge of modern web frameworks such as React, Material UI and Bootstrap;

• Strong knowledge of relational databases like MS SQL or/and PostgreSQL;

• Practical experience in integration with REST Web Services;

• Hands-on experience in writing unit tests using the most popular frameworks such as NUnit or xUnit;

• Experience with Agile development methodology and working as a member of an Agile development team;

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with any cloud platforms (MS Azure, AWS, GCP);

• Knowledge of containerization using Docker, orchestration and management of the containerized solutions; 

• Hands-on experience with performance and optimization issues and demonstrated ability diagnose and prevent these problems;

• Background as a technical team leader.
