Accounts Payable (AP) Senior Accountant, Vilnius

We are looking for a seasoned Accounts Payable (AP) Senior Accountant

to join one of our clients in Vilnius (one of the world's largest suppliers of mineral fertilizers)

Job description: 

•  Oversee and process day-to-day accounts payable accounting         
• Oversee and process, matching and coding invoices. Payment processing. Monitoring and clearing aged credit reports                      
• Liaise with suppliers and manage their reconciliations. Manage banking account changes across all suppliers. Setting up new suppliers and maintaining up to date records.    
• Conducting month end closing and year-end closing procedures        
• Lead complex accounting issues resolutions, provide advices to the business    
• Participate and manage internal and external audit procedures        
• Train and educate new and existing finance colleagues (incl. other functions)    
• Timely and accurately documented service-related business knowledge        
• Implement and ensure that global accounting policies and procedures, agreed internal processes are implemented and followed                    
• Perform according to Service Level Agreement (SLA)             
• Proceed as a subject-matter expert and/or key user for ERP system        
• Ensure assigned tasks are performed efficiently and with professional manner    
• Execute all other position related tasks delegated by Team Lead or Line Manager

Requirements:

• Relevant higher education in finance field is an advantage
• Relevant and/or similar work experience within accounting field (minimum 3 years)
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written communication. Additional languages are an asset
• Experience working with Procure-to-Pay process and AP accounting
• Strong accountability
•  Analytical mindset with solution-oriented problem-solving skills
• Co-operation skills in cross-cultural organization
