The International Charitable Foundation “Alliance for Public Health” announces external recruitment to fill the following position: Manager of Social Projects.
The International Charitable Foundation "Alliance for Public Health" is a leading non-governmental professional organization which makes a significant impact on the epidemics of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and other socially dangerous diseases in Ukraine in cooperation with state partners and civil society organizations through providing financial and technical support to relevant programs, which cover over 300,000 members of most vulnerable populations, which is the highest indicator in Europe. Alliance team includes over 100 professionals who are based in Kyiv.
Purpose: to manage the development, testing, rollout, marketing and ongoing operations of innovative activities in HIV prevention, detection, care, other relevant services responding to the needs of underserved populations including marginalized people vulnerable to HIV and associated challenges (people who use drugs, men who have sex with men, sex workers, transgender people and other vulnerable populations). The immediate tasks will relate to implementation of PEPFAR/USAID funded HealthLink project aimed to significantly improve access to HIV detection, care and treatment services.

Core Requirements:
- Commitment to confronting HIV, associated stigma, inequality and other related challenges and motivation to work;
- Experience in the development and management of innovative programs and instruments in healthcare, psychosocial care, reduction of drug related harm or other related fields;
- Good understanding of the role and use of modern technology in access to information, commodities and services, monitoring and marketing of health and other services;
- Good understanding of HIV and available methods of prevention and care;
- Professional judgment and discretion based on extensive experience;
- Openness and ability to generate creative and innovative solutions;
- Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges;
- Strong analytical, budgeting and project management skills;
- Relevant academic degree;
- Excellent command of Ukrainian, Russian and English.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct conceptual and strategic analysis of innovative opportunities and instruments in healthcare delivery with the focus on HIV detection and expedient access to care and treatment;
- Prioritize and select the most suitable innovative solutions (including technological development), set terms of reference for specific components and activities, perform the implementation of prioritized specific tasks and/or manage and coordinate consultants, contractors, and colleagues involved in demand generation, service delivery, capacity development, quality assurance and other relevant activities;
- Manage generation of demand for and supply of HIV testing, treatment and other services offered through innovative activities;
- Increase demand among health and social care providers and clients/patients for professional development, support, training, and participation in HIV prevention, detection and care programs;
- Expand the opportunities to improve the quality of services provided by medical and social workers, help them with assistance and support, using innovative methods and instruments;
- Liaise with colleagues, coordinate and integrate activities with other interventions and elements of other relevant activities of the Alliance for Public Health and partner organizations;
- Adequately and effectively present the activities to donors and other stakeholders;
- Actively explore funding sources and partnerships for sustainable functioning of the activities;
- Continuously improve professional and personal skills relevant to the job through self-training and development;
- Undertake other duties as required.
