Transmission and Optical Network Engineer

Infopulse is inviting talented professionals to join our project as a Transmission and Optical Network Engineer for our respectable client BICS, in our Kyiv office. Your mission will be: deliver telecom solutions that gives the ability to connect data centers, on-net buildings, service providers and telecom operators across Americas, Europe, Africa, Middle east and Asia; build and support the reliable network infrastructure for our capacity customers.

Areas of Responsibilities

• Implement and test telecom solutions using the DWDM & OTN technologies
• Troubleshoot and Repair telecom solutions using the DWDM & OTN technologies
• Troubleshoot and Repair transmission and optical network components

Qualifications

• You have a bachelor degree in the field of Telecom, IT and/or Electronics and 1 to 3 years of experience
• You have very good knowledge of the technologies and the products/services for which the team is responsible (SDH, DWDM, OTN, Ethernet,… )
• You are able to follow and adapt to a fast moving technical environment
• You possess good analytical and problem solving skills
• You have a strong customer focus

Will be an advantage

• Experience with Packet Network Architecture and Implementation
• Experience with Packet MPLS Layer 2 & VPN Layer 3

Personal Skills

• Strong interpersonal & communication skills, team player, dedicated and can do attitude, analytical & open-minded
• Familiarity with a project approach (planning, follow up, communication,…)
• Ability to take initiatives, be autonomous and act proactively is absolutely a must have
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
